Dear Band Students and Parents,
The 09-10 school year is going to be a busy one for the NMS Band. We will need all of you to help
us reach our performance and fundraising goals this year. Let's get it started!
IMPORTANT DATES IN THE FIRST MARKING PERIOD
-August 27 & 28 - Instrument Try-Outs and Fittings for Beginning Band during class.
-August 31, 5:45pm - The Band Parent Association is hosting a "Meet and Greet" in the Bandroom.
-September 1 - Popcorn Fundraiser starts.
-September 3 & 4 - Handbook Acknowledgement Form, Information Form and Band shirt &
book
orders are due with payment.
-September 18 - Popcorn Fundraiser ends.
-October 2 - Cheesecake Fundraiser starts.
-October 23 - Cheesecake Fundraiser ends.
-October 23 - 8th grade Band students perform at Football Game with High School Band.

Students who bring in the following supplies will get Reward Credits to earn prizes each marking
period.
-copy paper
-hand sanitizer in pump bottles
-mouthwash
-bandaids
-tissues
-trifold paper towels
-batteries (9V, AA, AAA)
-glass/surface cleaner in spray bottles
-transparent tape
-Epson Ink Cartridges #69 (black, magenta, yellow, cyan)
